Draft: this page is waiting for a final review and may change.
These terms apply when you use DeFi.com.au, operated by Dominet BV, Panamalaan 7D, 1019 AS Amsterdam, the Netherlands(KvK 75389517). By using the site you accept them.
What the site is
DeFi.com.au is an information site, not a crypto exchange, broker or financial adviser. We publish general guides on crypto tax, the law, exchanges, wallets, stablecoins and scams. We do not sell, arrange or recommend any crypto asset, platform or product, and no agreement between you and any exchange or provider is made through us.
Information only
Nothing on the site is financial, tax or legal advice, and it does not consider your objectives, financial situation or needs. Crypto assets are high risk and you could lose all the money you put in. Guides are checked at the dates shown. Laws, tax rules and registrations change. Check the ATO, ASIC, AUSTRAC and Moneysmart before you decide. Dominet BV does not hold an Australian financial services licence (AFSL), is not a crypto exchange or broker, and does not recommend any crypto asset, platform or product. We receive no payments from any exchange, wallet maker, stablecoin issuer or tax software company.
Links to other sites
Some links lead to other websites, such as government sources and issuer or maker statements (see our sources page). We receive no payments from any exchange, wallet maker, stablecoin issuer or tax software company. We are not responsible for the content, products or privacy practices of other sites. Any account you open or product you buy is with that provider, under its terms.
Liability
We take care to keep guides accurate but cannot guarantee that every detail is complete or current. To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for loss arising from use of the site or reliance on its content. Nothing in these terms excludes, restricts or modifies rights you have under the Australian Consumer Law or other mandatory consumer law.
Use of content
You may read, share links to and quote short parts of our guides with a link back. Copying whole pages or using automated tools to scrape the site needs our permission.
Law
Dutch law applies, without taking away protection you have under the law of the country where you live. We may change these terms; the review date at the top shows the current version.
